K-W Earth Day Events!
Event: Earth Day Park Crawl - by bike!
Date: Saturday, April 22, 2006
Time: 10am-3pm
Location: Starts at the Kitchener Farmer's Market, King St Entrance.
Come join us for an Earth Day of touring in Kitchener Waterloo! A chance to
hop from event to event while taking a stand for environmentally-friendly
transportation!
Tour stops will include:
* Kitchener Farmer's Market [10-11am]
[Environmental Info Fair]
* Stanley Park Community Centre [11:15am-12 noon]
[Spring Fair]
* Cedar Creek Community Cleanup [12:30-1:30pm]
[Albert and Weber]
* Picnic in Waterloo Park [2pm +]
[Bring a lunch, cheer on a race!]
Tour the info booths at the Kitchener Market and Stanley Park Community Centre,
help clean up a creek valley (gloves and bags provided) and cheer on runners in
the Earth Day: Crossing Borders Run (benefiting AIDS relief in Africa) in
Waterloo park.
The tour will leave the Kitchener Farmer's Market (King St. Entrance) at 11am.
Join us for the whole tour or meet us part way. Dress up or wear earth colours,
decorate your bike and be ready to make some noise! The Park Crawl will occur
rain or shine, so wear appropriate gear.
